Guided by the Spirit. Anchored in the Word.

Hi, I’m Cecille. Thank you for stopping by.

The world is loud. Fear is persistent.

Truth is often buried.

This space exists to slow the noise, unearth God’s Word, and remind women that peace is still possible when we are guided by the Spirit and anchored in Scripture.

My Story

Author, Podcaster, Blogger

Having been diagnosed with General Anxiety Disorder at an early age of eight, I learned to cling on to the Lord to get me through my moments of fear and immense anxiety. My memoir/self-help book, “Slaying Your Fear Giants, Moving from a Jungle of Terror to a Garden of Peace,” was published in November 2019. It chronicles my battle with anxiety and is a testimony of God’s healing and faithfulness in her life. Several of my devotionals and poems have been featured in different anthologies and ministries.

To be a “woman after God’s own heart” is the utmost desire I have for my life. I am a Christian author, blogger, podcaster, and retired elementary school teacher.  I find expression in my passion for discipling and encouraging others through my devotional writing, blog and my podcast, “Digging Deep for Treasures Podcast with Cecille Valoria.”

After 31 years of teaching in elementary school, I retired to take care of my 94-year-old dad full time and remotely for my 65-year-old brother who lived in a nursing home three hours away from where I live. I share a passion for traveling and photography with  my husband, Sal. I also enjoy  baking and flower arranging. In 2017, I founded a nonprofit organization, A Simple Touch Ministry, which used to deliver flower arrangements to patients in convalescent hospitals. It has now expanded to providing bouquets to family care givers, teachers, and health care workers. Alongside writing, I also share visual Scripture and quiet encouragement on Pinterest—a space for reflection, peace, and reminders of God’s presence in everyday life.
