Late for thirty minutes, I sat in embarrassment in front of my potential clients. Even before I opened my mouth for my spiel, I knew I lost their business. I failed because of not asking and having precise directions. They were one of my first appointments as a Realtor.
Fast forward to the present time, aren’t you glad we have GPS? Its advent has ceased all teasing about my constantly getting lost when driving.
More important than our driving GPS is our guidebook to living our lives–the Scriptures. Not only is it the “lamp to our feet and a light to our path,” but it is also God’s love letter to us. As the Holy Spirit gives us discernment, we see glimpses of our Amazing, Almighty, loving God. I am ever grateful for all the inspired authors who obeyed His command to pen His Words.
But our GPS is not going to lead us where we need to go if we don’t use it, nor will God’s Word help us if we don’t open and study it. Psalm 1:1-2 “Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night.”
Let’s deeply, delve daily into His Word and delight in getting to know the One who loves us most!
Be blessed!
